The Harlequin Room

The Pavilion

                                                THE HARLEQUIN ROOM

HLRA members will be aware that the new pavilion on the main sports field incorporates a clubroom. This room, although of reasonable proportions (13.1m x 4.15m) and having safety capacities of 70 (seated) and 90 (standing), is currently under-used as a recreational facility, being used only for occasional Association and affiliated club meetings and lunchtime use by the Yoga Club.

The Recreational Association is presently developing  the clubroom (recently named “The Harlequin Room”) by the addition of part-wooden flooring and part-carpeting, together with curtains for all patio windows. Softer wall lighting for function use will be added later and it is hoped that these enhancements will help in making it an attractive venue for members to enjoy, whether it be for small, informal gatherings, meetings or social functions.

Members may have free use of the Harlequin Room for affiliated club or individual activities, meetings, etc. Please note that there is a charge for evening and weekend social functions

Harwell Campus Employers may also use the Harlequin Room for small corporate events.

(NB. Users should note that the Sports Pavilion is not licensed or registered for the supply of liquor and that any members or groups intending to supply alcohol to their guests at functions must do so free of charge.).
