AML Applied Microengineering Ltd (AML) |
| |
| Unit 8 Library Avenue, Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, Didcot, OX11 0SG |
AML has 2 arms, firstly as a MEMS equipment supplier i.e. Wafer Bonding machines and secondly as a designer & low volume manufacturer of MEMS devices, such as micro silicon sensors and microfluidic silicon-glass devices.
AML works in partnership with industry either on a contract basis, or via a collaboration or joint venture, to exploit a wide range of MEMS opportunities, but AML’s prime expertise & focus is in the implementation of MEMS technology, rather than any particular device or market, i.e. we help industry miniaturise & apply MEMS manufacturing technology to its conventionally engineered designs & products. The best way to describe this activity is that of a "MEMS Workshop". When you take your design and fabrication requirement to a conventional machine shop - they do not need to know how the component you are asking them to make works! - their only concern is how to make it. In this way, AML won't compete with you now OR in the future!
